Angling
at the Fair
Fisherman's Row at the National
Country Fair is just a Mecca for the angler. Nowhere in
Ireland can such a quality array of fishing related
equipment, services and demonstrations be seen.
Ireland's top anglers will be there once again in 2010
demonstrating casting and fly dressing.
Our angling
exhibitors have been selected for
the range and quality of their
products which cover the whole range
of game, coarse and sea angling. With fishing equipment to suit every
pocket our visitors can browse among the local and
cross-channel traders who offer everything from a fishing
fly to a fishing boat! The lough at Ballinlough Castle is the
perfect setting for the angling competitions, demonstrations, casting tuition
or for just trying out a fishing
rod! The casting platforms on-site
provide perfect access to the lough and it is here that the
visitors can enjoy the experts from the Advanced
Professional Game Angling Instructors (APGAI)
demonstrate the casting techniques used by trout and salmon
fishermen.

Irish
angling supremo, Peter O'Reilly,
will be demonstrating fly casting
for trout & salmon in the main arena
each day and will be on hand to
discuss fishing in Ireland and to
sign his latest book.
Rounding
off the angling will be the fly dressing Master Class
featuring some of Ireland's top fly dressers. Their
practical demonstrations and the competitions they have
planned should interest fly dressers of all ages. For the
coarse angler there will be
plenty of stands with
fishing bargains galore and
members of the Pike Society
on hand to discuss their
sport.
