Falconry Displays the Fair

The falconry displays at last year's National Country Fair were simply spectacular and one of the highlights of the weekend at Borris House. By popular demand we have invited the Phoenix Falconry team back for the 2013 National Country Fair.

This will be the only event in Ireland where you can see this world class act with their twice daily displays in the Main Arena  as they fly birds of prey from home and abroad.

With over thirty years experience flying birds of prey, the Phoenix Falconry Head Falconer, Adrian Hallgarth, is a recognised expert in the sport of falconry and has displayed throughout the British Isles and Europe for over twenty years.  In addition to the twice daily flying displays, the Phoenix Falconry Team will have a static display of all of their birds on both days of the fair at Borris House. You can forget about those displays you may have seen at other events where the birds either fly off and will not come back or just will not fly! This is professionalism in the field of birds of prey and a spectacle not to be missed.  Witness some breathtaking falconry displays that will educate and entertain young and old alike.

There will even be the opportunity to see these magnificent birds up-close and be photographed holding one on your arm!
